Abstract: Intense development of the society, economics, science, technology, numerous transformations in the social life have resulted in emergence of a scope of new realities and concepts which need nomination. This is the process of neologism production. Emergence and functioning of neologisms prove that the language lives and develops reflecting human attempts to reveal the diversity of knowledge and progress of civilization. Appearance of new words in the modern English is manifestation of the active process of its vocabulary enrichment. It has forced the need of the present research because of the necessity to convey the meaning of English neologisms in the Ukrainian language, particularly neologisms appearing the economic sphere.
The work analyzes main word-forming constructions of neologisms and the ways of their translating into Ukrainian, as well as supplies a short analysis of each of the methods. Some difficulties are faced when translating neologisms, because such words are not yet fixed in dictionaries and need detailed study and analysis.
The research outlines the most common and effective ways of translating neologisms in economic sphere, namely descriptive translation, when translators can outline the meaning of a word, as well as loan translation, when translators can transfer meaning of a polysemic concept into the target language. The article supplies examples of each of the methods of neologism translating. Production of neologisms is forced by the human development and progress and it is also one of the ways of expanding English vocabulary.
VIRTUAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AND VIRTUAL REALITY FOR LEARNING ENGLISH

Title: VIRTUAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AND VIRTUAL REALITY FOR LEARNING ENGLISH
Authors: Добровольська, Світлана Романівна; Опир, Мар'яна Богданівна; Панчишин, Світлана Богданівна
Abstract: Our common life, professional activity and education have been
significantly affected by Covid-19 pandemics and lockdowns in 2020. Online
learning has taken over the traditional method of classroom teaching.
Switching to a new model of class learning in the virtual environment has
become a challenge. It is not an easy task to create a learning environment
which is effective, makes students interested and motivated to learn
individually. Distance learning with its compulsory components of
personality-oriented education, individualization and differentiation in
curriculum activities, the opportunities for independent learning and self-development, might help to implement modern educational paradigms. It also
motivates language learning and developing the general cultural and
professional competences, particularly foreign language communication
skills, for students of non-linguistic fields. The teacher’s goal is to provide
students with the resources they need in order to make progress. Learning
English in this context isn’t an exception. Virtual reality is one of the tools
that can guarantee success in virtual learning, as it is a cutting-edge tool that
brings students into the study process by spending time in virtual worlds. For
both teachers and students, well-designed virtual learning environment is
essential because online learning is the way forward. Online learning is costeffective and convenient for students, as it offers flexibility to gain knowledge
in any possible way from anywhere and at any time.

WAYS TO IMPROVE FUTURE LEGAL PROFESSIONALS’ FOREIGN LANGUAGE COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE

Authors: Добровольська, Світлана Романівна; Турчин, Ірина Михайлівна; Городецька, Наталя Григорівна; Гавришків, Наталя Богданівна
Abstract: The article deals with the development of future legal professionals’ foreign language communicative competence
in the process of studying English. The aims of our research include providing the definition of the foreign language
communicative competence and outlining the ways of its development for future legal specialists. The results suggest
that the usage of videos on legal topics (TV shows, films and others) foster grasping new material. Videos and audio
recordings can be used to demonstrate how native speakers interact with others in their respective fields while taking into
account the context. Instructions, given by educators about oral communication with people from foreign countries may
contribute to the future negotiations, meetings and debates. It can be assumed that background knowledge of different
countries, culture, other peculiarities are beneficial for communication. The mock trials can be done during English classes
to encourage students. Dialogues or monologues on professional themes are productive in developing foreign language
communicative competence. Future lawyers’ professional competency is fundamentally based on their ability to cope with
compliance between verbal and nonverbal components of communication. Participants in the educational process have to
pay attention to the fact that they communicate with one another by employing gestures, facial expressions, and body language. The article discusses lawyers’ speech culture, which is an important quality. Law blogging is a common activity
and a convenient way to find information on legal issues. Innovative ways of choosing communicative tasks can better
the educational process.

POLYSEMY OF ENGLISH LEXICAL UNITS AS A STONE OF TRANSLATING SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL TERMINOLOGY.

Title: POLYSEMY OF ENGLISH LEXICAL UNITS AS A STONE OF TRANSLATING SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL TERMINOLOGY.

БАГАТОЗНАЧНІСТЬ АНГЛІЙСЬКИХ ЛЕКСИЧНИХ ОДИНИЦЬ ЯК КАМІНЬ ПЕРЕКЛАДУ НАУКОВО-ТЕХНІЧНОЇ ТЕРМІНОЛОГІЇ
Authors: Добровольська, Світлана Романівна; Опир, Мар'яна Богданівна; Панчишин, Світлана Богданівна
Abstract: The aspects of terminology are currently among the most relevant issues of translation theory and linguistics.
Terminological units belong to the layer of vocabulary, which on one hand, takes an important position in the general national
vocabulary of any language, is developing at fast rates, and is highly demanded by specialists of different branches and,
therefore, provokes interest of numerous philologists. On the other hand, it can cause many difficulties for a translator of
specialized literature. Lack of knowledge about the origin, word-formation, classification, functioning, peculiarities of term
translating can prevent obtaining adequate results. Authors of the present article study polysemy of English terminological
units to make adequate and accurate translation that is the feature of high linguistic proficiency. The only meaning of a term
hinders developing its polysemy, but one should remember that each concept is influenced by linguistic processes and
thus, should be studied. The research analyzes the phenomenon of polysemy in the terminological system of the English
language, describes reasons of polysemy appearance, as well as determines specificity and ways of translating English
terms. The work also identifies factors, influencing the process of translating polysemous terms.
The authors of the research note that when translating polysemous terms from English into Ukrainian, different tools of
inter-language transformation are used, particularly lexical and semantic transformation like specification, generalization
and method of semantic development, as well as lexical transformation. However, the principal focus should be made on
the context. It is impossible to choose the method of translating without considering the context of the term use, because
translation can be different in different contexts. Contextual meanings appear in the process of a word use in the language
depending on the surrounding and is expressed under the effect of a narrow, broad, and extra linguistic context. Thus,
context is of principal importance as it helps translators identify the only correct meaning and choose the proper equivalent
in the target language.
