Recently, much attention has been paid to the quality of indoor air. According to the research of scientists from different countries, the concentrations of chemical compounds in the air of residential premises exceed similar indicators of air pollution by 25-62%.Today in Ukraine there is a stable pace of production of wood composite materials. Oriented Strand Board (OSB) is increasingly pushing plywood out of the wood composite market. These plates are made by heat pressing chips bonded with phenol-formaldehyde resins. Modern chipboard is a source of migration of formaldehyde and ammonia at levels well above hygienic standards. In addition, wood composite materials are a source of danger during a fire due to the formation of toxic products of thermal oxidative degradation.en_US
