dc.description.abstractDeals with the actual problem of determining the distribution of a two-dimensional temperature field along the thickness of a column of rectangular cross-section. On the basis of the analysis of literary sources, the main methods of solving such problems are considered. An alternative approach to finding the distribution of the two-dimensional temperature field is proposed in conditions when the ambient temperature changes along the perimeter of the column equally. As an example, the problem of heating a column of a rectangular section of 0.4 by 0.3 m under the conditions of the standard temperature regime of the fire is considered.uk
