| Abstract: | The article analyzes the linguistic and extra linguistic aspects of the use of English words in the modern Ukrainian language, the excessive number of which leads to the barbarization of the lexical system. The origin of the adjective «craft» and the ways of its appearance in the Ukrainian language are also clarified; it is found out that its distribution is due not only to linguistic but also social factors; the lexical compatibility of the analyzed adjective and its derivational potential are analyzed. |
